We have had homes, in New York from Rome to New York and now the West Coast and this place was just next. We checked to make sure we didn’t miss a 1 in front of the listed cost on our bank statements.Location:You’re about as close to the south gate of Sequoia as you can get without staying in the park. Three Rivers is 6000 feet below the main attraction the General Sherman so it’s a bit of a drive. When coming home they could say drive until you get cell service then drive 500 meters and take a left. Yes this is literally the fist sub community with cell service off the mountain soooo bonus. (at least for us Verizon folks)Home:Easy to get to and on a bit of a hill. At night you can hear the river far below but have the advantage of quite a view. I can’t believe I made it to the third sentence without mentioning the deck! My god, if they rented out the deck by itself it might be worth it. It has to be 400 square feet. Fans, shade curtains, misters, chairs, bar, location. When we travel 8 deep, we can suck up space and a monster outdoor space like this was just what we needed to unwind from a long day of adventuring at altitude. A glass of wine at night or early morning cup of coffee made us consider investigating CA squatter right laws. The beds had us asking what kind of mattresses they were when we woke up. They were covered with some sort of protective thing like a pillow cover so alas we will never know. The ding room and living room.....massive and kitchen all you could need!Hosts:Super responsive. We are pretty low maintenance but we appreciate quick responses. We got in after suggested check in time and that was no issue as we were given a door code. I think the door code was generated just for us because it was a number well know to us without giving specifics. They also were quick to ask how the stay was and if they could improve anything.
