Originally a cattle drover’s inn, this Highland hotel lies just over 30 miles from the pretty town of Inveraray and the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. The port of Oban is approximately 30 minutes drive and ideal to enjoy for a day out.This place is a little slice of heaven and I’d honestly stay here again. So quiet and private, and a great little base to do some exploring of the area.We had dinner in the restaurant and it was beautiful food. The waitresses are so accommodating and sweet. We felt so at home and welcomed - nothing like old fashioned hospitality.The breakfast is amazing - so much to choose from and they cook it for you personally after you order.The room was clean and had a great bed, with a view over the water. I’d love to visit again - everyone was so kind and friendly. A beautiful part of the world and the views of Loch Awe were stunning.
