Summer Island Maldives Resort

Summer Island Maldives Resort

The rooms at the resort are equipped with a seating area, a flat-screen LED TV with cable channels and a private bathroom with free toiletries and a bath or shower. All rooms have a kettle and a desk. Sunrise/sunset can be viewed from the spacious balcony/terrace of the rooms. After a few days staying at the Superior Beach Room, the Summer Island Maldives (SIM) upgraded my room to the Water Villa. The water villas are located on the most beautiful side of the island: I saw the most fish and the sea creatures right there. The villas are spacious and comfortable, with see-through glass floors: you can enjoy the underwater views without leaving your room or going to the spacious terrace. The room was equipped with everything needed for your convenience: air conditioning, refrigerator, TV, kettle, coffee machine, safe, a full set of toiletries, mosquito repellent (although I did not even hear any mosquitos), as well as umbrellas in case of rain. The bathroom was spacious and included a rain shower, jacuzzi and plenty of towels, both for personal hygiene and the beach. The villas are regularly cleaned. Each room has a staircase leading down to the water: one can just relax or snorkel any time. If you are a light sleeper though, the water villa may not be the best choice for you because the ocean tends to be rough at night. Unless the sound of strong waves is preferable. The villas also have a wonderful beach, which is being cleaned regularly. Each room has its own chairs that are comfortable, with new tight and really high quality covers. I did not need flip flops on this beach, how clean it was! In general, although partially covered by coral-like and slightly coarse sand, the sand can be walked on without shoes. The island itself has beautiful nature. It offers an opportunity to watch stunning sunrises and gorgeous sunsets. While staying at the water villa, you can enjoy a meal at the Hiya Restaurant, cocktails and snacks at the AVI Bar. A room service is also available. Definitely I would like to point out the Spa. The prices there range from USD 110.00 for a 50-minute massage. However, if you would like to pamper yourself, it is definitely worth it! I was very fortunate to experience Sunitha’s skilled hands. Excellent!
