Offering an indoor pool, sauna and massage facilities and a view of the Bavarian Forest, Hotel Sonnenhof - Superior is located along the edge quiet town of Zwiesel, just a 2-minute drive from Zwiesel.Hotel Sonnenhof additionally has a garden and sun terrace where guests can relax in warmer months. Zwiesel is 2 km away, and the surrounding countryside is also ideal for hiking, cycling and skiing.We spent 3 nights in the hotel and were satisfied beyond expectations. Everybody was really nice and friendly – unfortunately, our German is not the best, but we were offered help of members of staff who speak Czech.We were also thrilled by the menu in their restaurant, both breakfast and dinner. Regarding breakfasts, they were delicious, and we were surprised that most of the things were in reusable containers without unnecessary plastic, for example, even yoghurts, butter and Nutella were in glass containers, which is also super aesthetic.Dinners were yummy too. Their chef Jiří is a great professional and it’s clear he loves cooking! We enjoyed everything they cooked, and we had no problems choosing main courses from the menu.We didn’t use sauna, but the pool was great. There were not many people in the area and the water temperature was ideal for swimming. Of course, it’s not for relaxing in the water and hanging out there, but if you want to be active, this is the place to go. We look forward to visiting the place again!
