Featuring a bar and views of river, Riverside Villas is a sustainable bed and breakfast located in Manuel Antonio, 1.6 km from La Macha Beach. This bed and breakfast features a pool with a view, a garden and free private parking. Free WiFi is available throughout the property, as well as a terrace and a restaurant. The property also offers accommodation for disabled guests.This accommodation is featured in an extremely nice (to us) location, newly built and well-kept. Its location just by a stream makes for much wildlife nearby, such as spider monkeys, macaws, ”morfos”, jesus lizards, and sloths. We saw like three of them within minutes of our arrival. Also, two friendly local dogs roamed the premises, but the owners were attentive and made sure the dogs weren't ever a bother.The rooms, or cottages, were fresh with effective air conditioning, hot-water showers and a nice patio.Carlos, the owner, and his family and staff were very nice, very easy-going and sociable. Our kids are saying we need to return here if we ever come back to Manuel Antonio. It's a quiet place since it's not directly on the main road through the Manuel Antonio/Quepos area. During the morning hours you can at times hear howling monkeys.Following the water downstream about 45 minutes leads to a waterfall, it's a nice fairly easy hike, mostly clean, but there were places that had some junk that had been flushed downstream lying about and we regret not bringing a bag so we could help clean up the otherwise really nice area.
