Rainy Hill Retreat - The Loft

Rainy Hill Retreat - The Loft

Located in Cockatoo, 36 km from Dandenong Train Station and 47 km from Chadstone Shopping Mall, Rainy Hill Retreat - The Loft offers air conditioning. Set 27 km from Packenham Train Station, the property offers a garden and free private parking. We loved being in our own little bubble amongst the trees. The whole area is beautiful. Being able to whisk yourself away to a quite little loft outlooking the trees was amazing. We considered the birds might be very noisy, but they were actually distant and pleasant to listen to when vocal. On the table near the beautiful view is a helpful brochure about the area, including a couple of animals you might see around. There is also some helpful info and rules for the loft. (Like asking that no food/drink to be consumed on the bed - the very white beautiful bed. A very fair request if you ask me.) The king sized bed was the comfiest bed I have personally ever slept on, so it's obviously a qualityyyy bed. When we firstly walked in we noticed on the dinner table near the food/drink amenties there were some nice little goodies to great us, which was such a lovely surprise! 😊In the ways of food/drink ameneties the loft contained a capsule coffee machine (pods provided) kettle (tea, coffee, sug. provided), toaster, microwave a small fridge. In ways of dinnerware and cutlery there were 2 of everything; mugs, glasses, wine glasses, wine flutes, large plates, bowls, butter knives, spoons, forks, and teaspoons - from memory. We were able to rinse and reuse the dishes we used (couldn't find detergent if you wanted to properly clean them which was fine for our short stay) and could dry them with the tea towls provided. The weather was lovely during our stay, but still needed to lightly use the split system as it could get a little warm at times. If we needed any food there was an IGA located about 10 minutes away, as well as a couple of resturants, takeaway shops and the Puffing Billy Train!During our stay I really appreciated that I was able to openly communicate with our host through text if we had any questions. Our host was absolutley lovely, and kept the communication with us open, respectful and kind.
