This traditional hotel, dating from the end of the 19th century, offers modern accommodation and great cuisine in the heart of Weimar.The Hotel Alt-Weimar was the original home of Rudolf Steiner, who founded the philosophy of anthroposophy. The hotel boasts the Art Nouveau lead glass windows and panelled walls of the original building, creating a historic, cosy atmosphere.Everything was excellent. Nice hotel with charm. Nice, spatious, quiet and clean room. Comfortable bed. Super nice staff. Great location, walking distance from main touristic sites (Liszt Haus and Park, city center, etc). Came by train, so I cannot comment on parking. The hauptbahnhof is approximately 25 minutes walk from the hotel. I only have good things to say about the hotel.
